Helps keep children out of areas they should not have access to, such as bathrooms, guest rooms, closets and utility rooms. Lock installs on the "latch" side of the door and slides up and down into a catch piece mounted in the door frame to lock. Can be operated from both sides of the door.

• Simple, one hand adult operation
• Only for use on pocket doors and swinging doors (also called bar doors, mounted on a rotating hinge and the top and bottom of the door, such as are common in dining rooms). 
• Also works to lock 2 opposing pocket doors that join in the center.
• May be painted to match surrounding decor.

Installation

• Fits pocket and swinging doors up to 1 3/4 inch in thickness.  The pocket door frame must be at least 1 5/16 inch wide to accommodate the lock catch piece.  For swinging doors, there must be at least 1/4 inch gap between the door and the door frame for the lock to be able to be mounted.
• NOTE - NOT designed for use on standard doors with hinges mounted into the door frame.
