Helps keep children out of areas they should not have access to, such as bathrooms, guest rooms, closets and utility rooms. Lock rests on top of the door and slides onto a peg mounted in the door frame to lock. Can be operated from both sides of the door.

• Simple, one hand adult operation
• NOT recommended for exterior doors or where there are stairs going down that begin immediatetly on one side of the door (you may have trouble reaching the lock when standing down 1 step)
• An extension rod (purchased separately) is available for this lock to permit use by persons who cannot reach the lock by itself.

Installation

• Requires 1/8 inch gap between the top of the door and the door frame for the lock to slide back and forth
• NOTE - Will not work where there is an insulation strip mounted in the door frame, as is the case with most exterior doors.
